Welcome to the Home of FAMILY, Inc.

More than 700,000 children have been displaced from their homes nationwide

with greater than 10,000 children needing foster care or adoptive homes in the

Philadelphia area alone.

Note: The above numbers are fluid as children move in and out of the system regularly.

 

There are many reasons for this disturbing statistic including death of parent/s,

incarceration of parents, abuse and neglect, parental drug abuse,

joblessness, homelessness, among other causes.

 

These children are being transferred from foster home to foster

home and are not benefiting from the love a family

can provide. Many children report having to face worse

circumstances than that which led to their entrance into the

child welfare system in the first place.  Save the children as 

they represent 100% of the future.
